Making your old existing pit look and feel new again is the most popular service we provide for Pole Vault and High Jump Pits. Most coaches think this process is too difficult, but in most cases it is just a matter of unzipping the cover(s) and pulling them off of the foam chunks. The customer then sends the existing covers to us to either repair or to copy and make new.

No clips on the bottom pad, so we needed to make the new weather cover with grommets. Making it a little shorter also allows it to breath and allows the bungy straps to hold tighter.

AS YOU COULD IMAGINE, THIS UNIT IS NOT TOTALLY LEAK PROOF SINCE THERE IS A GAP DOWN THE MIDDLE, SO A VINYL WEATHER COVER IS RECOMMENDED TO KEEP THE FOAM DRY IN THE MIDDLE PORTION OF THE PIT.
TRAILER TIRES ARE USED ON THE INSIDE SO THE SHELTERS CAN GO OVER ANY SURFACE JUST AS LONG AS IT IS FLAT (NOT JUST LIMITED TO TRACK SURFACES).
WHEN THIS UNIT IS MADE IN ONE PIECE IT WILL COME WITH FRONT DOORS TO EITHER SWING OPEN TO THE SIDES (AS SHOWN) OR SWING UP AND BE HELD WITH CHAINS (SEE OUR EXAMPLE ON THE HIGH JUMP SHELTER). CUSTOMER HAS INPUT ON WHICH THEY WOULD LIKE.

New weather covers with heat sealed seams and 18 ounce vinyl. New top landing pads with new foam to replace existing damaged pad. New mesh coaches box added to existing top pad. New foam only to be installed inside existing mesh top pad material. Outer edge safety padding for hard surfaces around all pits. Sand box mesh covers with built in pockets around all edges. Combination of colors for mesh and vinyl at no extra charge. New buckles and clips only. Pit extensions. Velcro sewn onto existing covers so the top of the sections of foam hold together so the jumpers feet do not sink all the way down. Rebuild existing old foam from bottom up to help hold it's square shape and for jumpers possibly hitting the ground after they vault. Refurbish the back 3 sections of your pole vault pit into a big used high jump pit. Add grommets to the bottom of your covers so the caught water has a place to drain out of.
